Back to dubs for me. 3.6L V6 DSG… just couldn’t stay away from the VR6’s after my MK4 GTI.
I absolutely adore the interior. Some of the materials used are kinda cheap looking, but the beige interior with the CF trim and black dash really is a nice contrast.

Also ended up ordering my first “mod” for the car… I don’t think I’ll be doing too much to this for a couple reasons:
1) There’s not much out for this car, as it’s a brand new, and fairly unpopular platform
2) I really like it the way it is, for the most part
I’ll definitely be lowering it on some sort of coilover, leaning on ST coils right now, and wheels of course. Exhaust is also on the to-do list, I do miss that VR6 exhaust note.
Anyway, ordered a set of H7 Osram Night Breaker Plus bulbs. Didn’t bother going with the drop in HID route – from what I understand, I need to do some coding for it to work properly. -_-;;
Lots of reading material on the back with fancy bar charts… I love how honest Osram is with their comparisons regarding the “Lifetime” of the bulb. And I’m not sure how “Light Color” can be compared using two bars.
I really haven’t played around with halogen bulbs since drop in HID kits dropped in price dramatically a few years ago, but it’s interesting to see how far it’s gotten in terms of performance and aesthetics. Tint on the bulb, as you may know, reduces light output, no matter how light the tint is. To maintain bulb performance, Osram decided to leave a strip of untinted glass around the filaments of the bulb. The light blue tint supposedly will give it a slightly whiter colour though. We’ll see how that goes when I get a chance to install. I’m not expecting much in terms of colour difference, but I’ve heard good things about these bulbs and its performance.
